.You get a plan to assemble the comlete engine. kolben1 Every beginning is hard. To make easier to you in the beginning we constructed a divided crankshaft. The ball bearings have to put successively on the segments of the crankshaft and, besides, passport feathers are used. The crankshaft is composed by segments because it is easier to build. We will produce the engine case as roughly prepared castings. So with little mechanical post processing the remaining works can be done. We are laymen in the construction of model engines. That’s why we do not want to go into competition with model construction engines that are currently available. If somebody found out that we had made severe errors in construction don’t hesitate to get in contact with us. Every improvement is welcome. We only want to build a straight-six engine that can be used by different Scale Models. In my opinion all available engines are primary build for model aircrafts. An air-cooled single cylinder engine build into a scale model of a race car which looks like the original is very strange to me. It may be make sense to do so by various reasons. But to be honest, a car model with straight-six engine recreated to the original has much more character, isn’t it? On the question whether it is generally the right time for such a project, I have the following answer. Petrol engines will be found in old-timers only in a few years and, therefore, I would like to provide to you as an interested model-maker the possibility to get experiences in this wonderful technology. Nevertheless, the sound of a straight-six engine or a v12 is another experience than an electric motor. )
